The difference between the Tuffa and Extreme Augers is the Pilot Tip as outlined below.

The Tuffa Pilot tip has a tungsten carbide mixed coating making it excellent for rocky, hard ground as the tungsten carbide coating has a higher resistance to chipping.

The Extreme Pilot tip has a tungsten tile welded onto the cutting edge, – this pilot tip gives you excellent cutting in papa and hard soil.
